The mix between, indie guitar riffs, the drums and the synth solos make this band sound unique. Dirty rough tunes from the synth and the awesome grinding bass lines which you can hear above everything else now and again in ‘Dance Like No Ones Watching’ does make you want to do what the title says.
‘There’s Nothing as Epic as Golden Axe’, what is epic in this song is the cheery synth introduction followed by calm, mellow vocals. The simple "Bada bada bada" after the chorus and the building up of the guitars makes this song sound crazy and probably that’s why the band named it with this title. What I like especially with this track is as the track ends, you heard a faint whistling tune fading out.
Drive-By Argument did a lot of dirty, grind sounding synth sounds in ‘Sex Lines Are Expensive Comedy, I would name the synth as ‘The Sex’ it is that amazing and fits into the song brilliantly. Most songs have guitar solos but in this song for 6 seconds you get to hear a jam packed drum solo. Crazy little drum fills and symbol work sends your mind buzzing and with it being only 6 seconds long you don’t realise what’s happening till it’s finished.
I could sit here and write about each song, all the songs are that good. This album definitely gets your foot tapping and body grooving. Only problem which they might have for their following album will be producing that album just as good as this one. Fans are expecting the next album to be bigger and better but I think with this album being at the top already, the next is going to be hard to follow.
