Innerpartysystem – Don’t Stop [Single]

Patrick, Jared, Kris and Jesse are known as Innerpartysystem who originate from Pennsylvania. Soon to be touring the UK later this month and getting excited for their release on their album on the 9th September. Innerpartysystem are a band who will be around for awhile.

It’s a shame that iTunes doesn’t recognised the CD information, I know that the tracks are ‘Don’t Stop (Radio Edit)’ and ‘Don’t Stop (Album version)’ because it says on the single cover but it would have been nice for the information to upload onto iTunes. But going past that, a two track single, Innerpartysystem have kept the CD very simple and havn’t included 20 different remixes which I do like.

When I looked at the CD, I wondered why there was a Radio Edit and an Album Version of the song. Realising the difference was, one was nice and clean for the radio and the album version obviously wasn’t. For some reason I was expecting the album version to be longer, but that’s just me.

I can say that ‘Don’t Stop’ is an all round good song, probably the way to describe it as an average song. Hearing the track for the first time did make me repeatedly say ‘wow’. But having to hear this song over and over again whilst writing this review does get a bit boring. I’m not saying I’m starting to dislike it; it’s just one of those songs you need to listen to now and again if you want to keep commenting it with ‘wow’. Once you start tapping your foot to ‘Don’t Stop’ you can’t seem to stop with the drum beat from Jared, and crazy, dirty synth samples produced by Jesse and Kris.

Innerpartysystem has managed to fit synth samples, guitars and drums into this 4 minute 23 second track perfectly. They have done a good job with this. But like I said, you will be respecting this track more if you listened to it now and again. With them touring the UK soon, I wouldn’t mind going along to see them perform their music live and I cannot wait to listen to their album. I have a feeling I will be pleasantly surprised.
