Urr if you bothered to listen to the track (an outdated concept I know) you would realise that the song is about the preponderence of high school shootings in the USA and how they are symptomatic of an undermining of society and values not just in the states (although most visibly there) but across the western world.

I have never really got into these, they seem to have been around for many years. They are always touring and releasing new records. Nice review

A Beautiful Day was the Levellers hit that they must wish they never had! Far from being similar to their (less successful) earlier work which typically dealt with issues like the Falklands War, police brutality, addiction, and the plight of the ultra working class, I think that one track gave the Levellers widest ever audience completely the wrong impression of the band. They always were very political, good on 'em too. The world needs political music.

I'm not sure how t4toria knew what the song was about, the only words I could make out were 'Burn' and 'muahuuhuham'. Not that the song as a whole inspired me to dig deeper. What's the point of a political song if all the meaning is mumbled and unclear?
