Why don't you buy a hard drive and external caddy? Much cheaper and not that hard to put together (pretty self explanatory)

All storage devices are coming right down in price in have noticed. I am going to get one for my birthday in March, so I can backup everything from this new shiney laptop.

Much like a USB pen drive I do believe you can use any hard-drive, as it connects to yur mac through a USB cable. Something like ebuyer.com is a good, cheap place to get shit like that. I have used them loads of times. First find a 1 TB hard drive and then find a hard drive caddy. Just make sure if you get a SATA hard rive caddy that you get a SATA hard drive aswell.

Yeh thats the thing, i don't want to fork out £100 for a big hard drive and then find it for cheaper a few months down the line but, i currently have 356.2mb of space left. So i'm screwed.

I wouldn't worry about that Jack. The difference will be very minimal, there ain't gonna be no landslide change in prices.

That kind of thinking is what kept me from getting a cell phone until a few years ago. Laptop, as well.

I don't have an ipod. I don't have a next gen gaming system.

I'm far to cheap to ever be on the cutting edge of anything. hahaha

Believe me, I get the appeal and I understand what it all does and why it is so necessary...but I know if I can hold out for a while I can get it all sooo much cheaper!
