Calling all Engineers, Producers, Music Makers

This Studio Talk section on Altsounds is a fairly new edition but is something I have been wanting to add for a while. We already offer Gear Reviews and News so it was the next logical step for us. I will be putting together a whole host of How-Tos, Tips and Tutorials over the coming months for some of the software that I use on a regular basis.

What I am looking for is other like minded music makers to also get involved and to put some of their knowledge down to help the next generation better themselves. The more people that can get involved the better really and if you have been making music seriously for at least one year then you will have a wealth of knowledge and tricks that you could be showing.

This thread is just here to show the intent of what this will become so that others can get involved early on.

Will you be mainly working with Windows music software? I can cover Logic Pro 8 basics, hints & tips.

Cool man, Logic hints, tips and tutorials would be awesome! Most of the software I will be covering work on both a mac and a pc.

yup yup, good idea, i can lend a hand.
mac based producer using ableton, reason and pro tools
mainly electronic music, but have done a few bands at a studio.....
reason is my main thing though.....along with ableton live.....

ah man i have always wanted to learn ableton, if you could cover that and pro-tools that would be ace

can somone post a tutorial on how to use M-Audio KeyRig software? I'm having trouble getting sounds out of it, using toneport as the asio output, it just dont wanna work for me, any help would be nice
