Cakewalk Announces Powered Monitors, USB Audio Interfaces
On July 30th, we announced the newest additions to our growing line of affordable, high-quality hardware products, designed in conjunction with Roland. Taking center stage are three new USB audio interfaces, providing a simple solution for the mobile musician to connect and capture audio to a Mac or PC. In addition to the USB audio interfaces, we've also launched a line of powered stereo monitors delivering superior audio in a host of settings from the home studio, classroom or media lab, college dorm room, even in your living room entertainment system without stressing your budget.

Hot on the heels of our first V-Studio tour, we're back out on the road again supporting the SONAR V-Studio 100, giving you another opportunity to check out the SONAR V-Studio products first hand. SONAR V-Studio 700 review: Beating the pants off of the competition Tape Op reviewer Allan Tubbs got to spend some quality time with the SONAR V-Studio 700 system and was impressed, to say the least. Having used both previously recorded tracks as well as a song tracked with the SONAR V-Studio 700, Allan states "the sound is clean and open, providing plenty of air around the recordings," and that the preamps "beat the pants off of too many integrated preamps." Of course in addition to the preamps, and the sound quality, it's well worth mentioning that the SONAR V-Studio 700's overall feel is "natural and organic" while making you "feel like you're working on music, not a computer."
